Onboarding The Next Billion People On-Chain

(One Email At A Time)

Crypto speculation has distracted us from blockchain’s real value.

The space is flooded with opportunity seekers, angry their favourite coin is not going to the moon. On the flip side, projects celebrate “Trillions in TVL” and “revolutionary ZK infrastructure” while wondering why regular people aren’t paying attention. They blame each other and nobody wins.

Meanwhile, blockchain is solving real problems.

Hi, I’m Peter

I’m not a crypto guru, financial advisor, or blockchain expert.

I’m just a regular guy trying to make sense of a future that’s knocking at our door, while juggling real life challenges. But I’m also well aware I cannot figure this out through theory alone. I need to make small but intentional steps each day.

Writing is how I find clarity and surface answers.

I Had ZERO Interest In Crypto

Yet… it kept popping up everywhere, a few years ago.

Friends were making millions on coins I’d never heard of while I was stuck trying to optimize for 5% annual yields through traditional investing strategies. But, I wasn’t frustrated. I was learning fundamentals that had passed the test of time. As an architect by training, I loved assembling bits and pieces into coherent mechanisms. I built a business, learned long-short portfolio management and became a life-long student of the markets (and marketing).

But deep down, I knew something real was happening. Blockchain, AI, automation were reshaping our world.

Yet, every time I tried to learn about them I’d hit a brick wall:

  • Technical whitepapers written for developers.
  • Crypto Twitter celebrating price pumps.
  • Projects speaking in acronyms.

Nobody was explaining what any of this actually meant for regular people.

I had a family to support.

A business to run.

And ZERO time to decode whether “modular rollups” or “cross-chain interoperability” mattered to my life. So I did what most smart people do when faced with noise: I tuned out.

The Wake-Up Call

I was firmly convinced crypto wasn’t for me.

But slowly… I started noticing something impossible to ignore.

  • Self-checkout counters replacing cashiers.
  • AI agents building businesses.
  • SaaS replacing accountants.

The world was changing fast right under my eyes.

And, that’s when it hit me:

I could either watch from the sidelines, hoping to understand it someday when it became “simple enough”… or I could dive in and figure it out while I still had time to adapt.

The wave was coming whether I was ready or not.

I’d rather learn to move with it than get swept away by surprise.

Something Finally Resonated

Real World Assets (RWAs)

RWAs are the bridge between blockchain technology and everyday life. Instead of speculating on digital coins, RWAs bring real assets on-chain: real estate, invoices, commodities, Treasury bills, etc.

RWAs are here to improve the current financial system.

RWAs give blockchain the utility everyone can understand.

But, most importantly…

RWAs create opportunities we can all participate in.

This is where blockchain becomes practical instead of theoretical.

Here’s what keeps me engaged with this space:

We’re living through a convergence of technologies that will define the next decade: blockchain, AI, robotics, automation. These may seem like separate trends. But they’re actually more connected than one might think. They’re reshaping the way we work and interact with each other. It’s more than what social media created. It’s a complete paradigm shift.

I’m not predicting doom and gloom. All I’m trying to do is take notice of this big wave and decide whether I’m ok to adapt to change, or let change adapt me.

HeyRWA is how I look for signal in noise.

Then I was reading yet another project announcement:

‘Revolutionary infrastructure. Faster. More Secure. Simply Better.’

These vague descriptions wrapped in technical jargon are everywhere. Yet, the space wants to bring the next billion people on-chain while actively building walled gardens with their language.

➤ Projects are frustrated that regular people don’t care about their tech.

➤ People are frustrated that nobody can explain why this matters.

That’s when I realized: the space needs a translator.

Someone who’s willing to decipher blockchain complexity.

Someone who has the patience to translate jargon into simple language.

Someone who’s curious enough to start over when things don’t make sense.

That’s when HeyRWA was born.

My experience in marketing taught me to speak to one person.

My background as an architect taught me systems thinking.

My years studying markets taught me pattern recognition.

But most of all, I learn by deconstructing concepts until the pieces click.

And if you’re here, it might be how you learn too.

What Is HeyRWA

HeyRWA is my journey of figuring out Real World Assets.

Every week, I read the whitepapers you don’t have time to read. I test the platforms you don’t know how to navigate. I decode the announcements that sound important but make no sense.

Then I translate what matters into plain English.

Not because I’m an expert.

But because I’m one step ahead on the learning curve.

All I do is share my findings with a younger version of myself.

Join Me On This Journey

HeyRWA is for you if:

  • You sense blockchain is important but don’t have time to decode technical whitepapers.
  • You’re tired of crypto conversations dominated by speculation and hype.
  • You want to understand practical applications, not just price predictions
  • You want to participate in emerging opportunities, not just read about them
  • You’re willing to learn and adapt rather than resist inevitable change

HeyRWA isn’t for you if:

  • You’re looking for trading signals or investment recommendations.
  • You want technical blockchain development tutorials.
  • You expect guarantees of financial returns.
  • You’re ok staying on the sidelines.

The Format

Each Sunday, I send one email covering:

Part 1: My take on a concept, project, or development in the RWA space. This is my personal perspective on what’s happening and why it might matter. If it’s important to me… if it triggered my curiosity and excitement, it’s probably one more person in this world who will feel the same. That might be you.

Part 2: 4 Hand-picked articles, videos, or other resources on RWA, blockchain, AI, and the practical side of this exuberant but often confusing industry.

The Mission

Find signal where there is noise.

Many blockchain projects say they want to “onboard the next billion users” while communicating in technical jargon and celebrating updates without explaining what that actually means for regular people.

But just as they work restlessly to bring the best technology to the world… I work every day to bring clarity through simple language.

Together… we can onboard the next billion people, one email at a time.
